Please pray for the Kettering Health network in Ohio. Their computer systems are currently being held hostage by ransomware hackers.
When hackers infiltrate hospital information systems, they encrypt everything and demand large sums of money to un-encrypt the information. In the meantime, surgeries are cancelled, employees are sent home, and IT departments work feverishly to recover their data.
This is a form of kidnapping, and it affects so many innocent people. I hope the attackers are caught and punished, and I hope the hospital system regains control over their information.
If nothing else, it may serve as incentive to make computer systems more robust, and rely on more the Lord for His protections.
Please pray that this situation gets resolved.

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16).
“But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust” (1 Timothy 1:8-11).
