Fresh Details About The Conrad Vine Viral Story

September 8, 2024 Gerry Wagoner
  • Conrad will release a statement this month.

  • There are over 1,230,419 views on the Conrad story on YouTube alone (60+ videos). The number is growing rapidly.

  • We created a spreadsheet for these videos because there were so many of them and we were curious. The spreadsheet calculates a running total of the views.

  • 95% of the comments on YouTube are supportive of Vine. That’s a huge majority. Vine’s message is resonating with an enormous number of people, which tells us that something is way off with the status quo. Most of these people feel like at last someone cares about them.

  • Back in April, Conrad began planning a Religious Liberty weekend symposium for September 20-21. He is one of the speakers, and the organizer of it. The big question is, will the ‘papal bull’ (as one SDA member quipped) against Conrad Vine keep him from speaking there? Many people feel that Michigan ‘jumped the gun’ in banning Vine from speaking in pulpits.

  • Ron Kelly was out of state on a mission project last week, with no cell service. He should be back in town by now.

  • Mark Finley weighed in on the topic. Read the comments here.

  • The legacy news media in the United States is over 95% left-wing (my father researched this in the late 90’s for a class he was teaching).

  • In the same way, 90-95% of religious liberty ‘leaders’ in the Seventh-day Adventist Church are left wingers. They should be neutral—but they aren’t.

  • Lots of people have sent emails to Jim Micheff. Here’s one:

“Elder Micheff, Your letter announcing your censorship of Dr Conrad Vine is un-Christlike! View Vine’s video again and you’ll see he is only showing what the choices are if the GC continues to accept and support government mandates and deny exemptions based on an individual’s conscience. This is called logical reasoning. He is listing the choices that members who wish to honor freedom of conscience would have in such a situation. This type of action [Michigan ban of Vine] is like condemning the Hebrew captives for refusing to eat the King’s food or bow to the King’s image! Please admit your un-Christlike edict was an error and rescind it with an apology. Prayerfully, a concerned SDA member.” DP

  • A couple people are upset with me and Fulcrum7 for publishing the Vine story. One fellow said we lacked discernment, because Vine is obviously a bitter person, and we shouldn’t publish anything by or about him. Another fellow suggested I was splitting the church by publishing material about Vine / Michigan:

    • “In general, I have always felt we were pretty well aligned theologically, but your recent efforts to divide the church seem more akin to the Christian Nationalist movement than to the advancement of the mission of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. I cannot understand how you feel this is the responsible usage of the forum God has entrusted you with.”

  • Note from an SDA attorney:

“Reading the stories about Conrad Vine. An Adventist can hold any theological position imaginable, but even question or cast the shadow of doubt on tithing, and you’re out. It must be the money.”

  • In my opinion, the GC should do one of two things.

    • Make an acknowledgment to Seventh-day Adventists who were damaged by their 2015 vax statement, and subsequent 2021 Affirmation Statement. Admit that they are sorry that innocent people were hurt by their decisions. Don’t grovel, do it sincerely.

    • Offer to reimburse people who suffered loss of jobs, houses and income as a result of their ‘statements’. Many left wing people (SDA and otherwise) support racial reparations for people who were never alive during slavery. These same people do not support reparations for real life people who were harmed by the GC vax statement. If anyone deserves reparations, it is people who were damaged by the GC position on vaccines and mandates.

  • One individual said that ADCOM statements remind him of US president’s executive orders to get around the system. Same with Conference president cancel culture decrees (although the executive committee was part of the decree in Michigan). A lot of people feel that Michigan jumped the gun on this one.

  • The underlying issue is whether the GC can unilaterally set aside our religious liberty and liberty of conscience on any given issue. I say no.

  • Is it ethical for a small cadre of people to make decisions of conscience for a larger innocent group of people? They will say that they aren’t making the decisions, but they make it hurt by refusing to support members who make decision that the cadre doesn’t like. They also stated verbatim that the individual does not have a religious liberty objection to the dark forces pushing the C-19 jab.

  • The GC is watching this viral issue regarding Conrad Vine closely. Let your voice be heard, if you have something to say.

  • Your conscience is a gift from God. When your life agrees with your beliefs that calibrates your conscience (resolves hypocrisy in our lives).

  • From a supportive church member:

    - Is our church a bottom up or top down run church?

    - Does a small group of leaders have the right to make statements that legally can impact members rights? Or even tell them what they can and can’t do?

  • I am charitable with the SDA church in 2020, as we should be. 2021 is a different story. By then, we knew about the dark forces that were at work to control the consciences of people. It went from shaming, to bribery, to ridicule, to Facebook canceling people for even mentioning Ivermectin, to financial marginalization, to loss of jobs and property through mandates and coercive employers. I have very little sympathy for food-chain administrators who failed to discern the times we were in by 2021. It was evident to anyone with a modicum of discernment that there was an evil spirit behind the shameless domination.

  • Conrad Vine spoke at the Mentone, CA church Friday and Sabbath (yesterday). Here is a video on Vine’s Sabbath message. Here is a critique of it.

  • Pray for our Church. Pray for our administrators, and pray for our dear people. May the blood of Jesus, and the mercy and wisdom of God rest upon all of us. May we stand for the right though the heavens fall.

  • Stay tuned.
