NAD Helps The Community By Hosting Feminist Event

`Ello me lads!  Mouse here, fresh off a holiday abroad.  It is good to be back in a glorious country where the motorists drive on the left side of the road--the way that God intended!

Speaking of the left side of the road, The North American Division--whose current motto is "If It Isn't Broke, Keep Fixing It Until It Is!"--took time off of their Indoctrination Tour to host one of those Empowering Women symposiums at their new NAD headquarters.

The Moon

The hapless meeting was sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation.  What is that, you say?  Does the name Reverend Sung Myung Moon mean anything to you?  He and his wife are the founders of the Universal Peace Federation.  For those of you under the age 40, Moon claimed to be a Messiah, had millions of brainwashed followers and motivated thousands of young people to drop out of school and donate their savings accounts to the cult.  His Unification Church was worth billions near the end of his benighted life in 2012.  Known for the mass weddings he conducted for his deceived followers, he once betrothed 21,000 couples at the same ceremony in 1999.  Now, where was I?  Oh yes...  Along with the NAD, this 'Moon-founded organization co-sponsored the International Women's Day Forum held at the NAD Office on March 8.  It's a bit unsettling.  No, it's preposterous.

UN’s Millennium Development Goals

Moon's Universal Peace Federation promotes the UN’s Millennium Development Goals and encourages people to work for peace through serving their communities.  Their 8 Millennium Development Goals are tailor-made for a heady Division determined to set themselves above their fellow Divisions by converting the world to Social Justice.  After all, the Everlasting Gospel is soooo last year.

  1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger  (and hopefully mashed turnips).
  2. Achieve universal primary education  (preferably government-sponsored liberal education).
  3. Promote gender equality and empower women  (feminism, chaps).
  4. Reduce child mortality (they could start by opposing abortion. See #5).
  5. Improve maternal health (they support abortion).
  6. Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
  7. Ensure environmental sustainability (go green for God, lads).
  8. Develop a global partnership for development  (multiculturalism will save us all).

(This was not necessarily the agenda of the great NAD empowering women summit on March 8.)  But, it is no surprise that the NAD is openly sympathetic to a UN-flavored agenda, having already demonstrated massive public support for environmentalism, feminism, multiculturalism, and just about every ism under the rainbow flavored political-lefty coalition of the UN.  Every `ism save conservatism, that is.  But back to the NAD Women's gala.

Notice the rainbow parade-of-people chain.  The soul of feminism has many empty faces and many colors all united for one purpose: To fight a culture war against Bible truth.

Domestic Violence Awareness

According to NADAdventist News, the overall mood of the event was "optimistic and inspirational."  Organizers also made a point to call attention to an issue that often affects women – domestic violence.  Between July 2016 and June 2017, 46 people died in Maryland due to domestic violence, according to a report released last month by the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence.  They didn't say how many were men and how many were women.

While violence is a bad thing, domestic or otherwise, feminism has become a lightweight movement heavy on pop culture and phony outrage and unbelievably light on content.  It speaks all the time, but it no longer has anything to say.  When feminists actually hit on a relevant issue they quickly scramble to avoid talking about it, such as Muslim rape of women in the UK, Sweden, Cologne and Hamburg.

Big Feminism joined with the left in crying for the migration of a horde of young Muslim men--from a culture where sexual assault and harassment are ubiquitous--to the cities of Europe.  Adventist Feminism likewise sheds its pious tears for unfettered immigration into America, as if such imposed migration on others will cover a multitude of their own sins.  Feminism forcibly introduced the women of Europe to their rapists and then left the grinning mobs to get on with their work.  Now it complains that the women it victimized are a distraction from the much more important conversations it would like to have about convincing everyone to fight conservatism by buying forty dollar "I Am a Feminist" T-shirts, and ridiculous pink hats.

Summary

Feminism is filled with things that it can’t talk about.  That’s why it long ago hit a dead end.  It is too afraid of being politically incorrect to be relevant.  It can’t advocate for women and so it frantically stirs up micro-controversies that are irrelevant to 99.99% of women.  Stopping muslim rape doesn’t interest her.  Exploiting the abuse of women to fight a culture war does.  The institutional left can’t call out Islam for sexism, homophobia and racism because it has already inducted it into its political coalition.  This is the path that the NAD is left trudging along (pardon the pun) convinced that it is "helping the community."  You wish to help them?  Try warning them about righteousness, self-control and the Judgment to come (Acts 24:25, Revelation 14: 6-12).

Most feminists look like a professional activist wearing an $85 t-shirt made by slave labor while proclaiming that she is a feminist.  It isn’t fighting for the rights of women that makes her a feminist.  It’s the pricey fashion statement of someone honking their hooter (tooting their own horn, for the Yanks) while exploiting conservative Adventist women.  And the increasingly biblically-irrelevant and socially-distracted NAD welcomes them, sweeping aside the broken fragments of the Everlasting Gospel, to make way for the new Social Justice Gospel.

That's the news from the left side of the road in Maryland.  Now I'm off to ride my politically incorrect Mini Countryman into the sunset.  Tally ho!
