WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Triggered students at Walla Walla University are protesting what they describe as discrimination against LGBTQ+ students by university administration.
The protest followed couple incidents that students say demonstrate unfair treatment. Last month, the university removed a senior recognition video after a student was seen holding a Pride flag. More recently, organizers say a student in a same-sex relationship was barred from running for student body president.
Ross Gurule, with the Associated Students of Walla Walla University (ASWWU), says he was disqualified from the race after refusing to withdraw from his candidacy. The victimhood is palpable.
"I was taken off guard by this. It was something I never expected," Gurule said. "There's no policy. There's nothing ever stated or said that would let us know this could be a thing. It was a shock to me and a lot of other students, especially because I was the only one running for the position."
"They were asking me to pull out of the race, and I said no," Gurule explained. "I wasn't going to make that decision. After more back and forth, they eventually decided to pull me out of the race."
Awesome.
Woke students like Heidi Kissinger say the walkout was a way to voice their support for Gurule and advocate for a more inclusive campus. "Students want a place to feel safe on campus," Kissinger said.
They can feel safe in another university, where homosexuality is celebrated. They are not welcome to attend a university with Christian roots & underpinnings and demand that the school apostatize to suit their morally confused delusions.
Nice to see the university stand up for biblical morality and sexuality. Well done, sirs.

One word that that liberals often use is conversation. This is what liberalism does. For liberalism, the highest point of achievement is not changing anything to be more biblical, it's not achieving a concrete objective, it's just having endless conversations.
When you hear a political figure or leader say “We need a conversation on race, we need a conversation on LBGTQ+”, you can know that they are trying implement liberalism by osmosis. A more humorous version,
“I think it's time that we just have conversations about the ability to have conversations while conversing about the significance of conversations.”
But that’s what politics is all about. When you hear that kind of talk you know that you are one, hearing from a liberal, and two, being deceived.
Endless conversations don't do anything but turn the problem into concrete. In true leadership, decisions have to be made, policies have to be implemented, people have to get in line. But that is contrary to the open free-floating conversational language of liberalism.
Just open your Bible, accept what it says, and hold fast to it.
Beware the endless conversation.
