This past weekend, December 20-21, Liberty and Health Alliance hosted a revival weekend in California. The theme was: Standing Faithful.
A quick summary of the weekend is below, with links to the messages. But for those who just woke up from a 3.5-year nap, first a brief introduction to LHA:
Liberty and Health Alliance was founded in 2021 to help fill the void left during the fear and paralysis that seized much of the world during greatest liberty of conscience crisis of our generation. They've worked closely with Peter McCullough (as well as the Village Church), and helped thousands apply for religious exemptions from vaccination. They also spearheaded the 2021 Appeal to the church to re-think its position on the COVID vax, which was co-written by other prominent thought leaders and signed by 25,000 individuals including thousands of medical professionals and pastors.
Lela Lewis
Dr. Lewis is a board-certified OB-GYN and founder of Your Best Pathway to Health. Co-founders of LHA include attorney Jonathan Zirkle (known for his famous motion on vaccination at the 2022 GC session) and history teacher-turned speaker/evangelist, Scott Ritsema, of Belt of Truth Ministries (known best for his Media on the Brain seminar).
LHA Weekend Summary
Friday
The Friday evening kick-off meeting featured a heart-felt appeal message by Dr. Lewis to climb the 'ladder' of character development, and to press through adversity now to prepare to stand in the last days.
She shared a story of a difficult trial from her early ministry and family life, never shared before, that was an especially heart-touching and personal faith-building story.
Though it’s a chapter of her journey she is not inclined to tell, Dr. Lewis should be commended - to God's glory - for standing faithful, herself, when in 2021 she faced the decision whether to keep quiet about vaccine mandates or risk losing her employment with the church. Sabbath Morning
At 8:30am, Jonathan Zirkle (sporting an awesome haircut), discussed authoritarianism and cults that adopt the modus operandi of both the Pharisees and the Little Horn Power. It was a tactfully worded challenge on how we, as a church, should rethink our church governance practices to make sure we do not bear that image of Satan's methods. Zirkle earnestly appealed to everybody to replace authoritarianism with brotherly love. The opening story of how he, as a lawyer, confronted a client who was telling obvious lies under oath in a deposition is worth the price of admission. (Watch Zirkle's sermon HERE.)
After a short break, the 11:00am service featured Scott Ritsema recounting the stories of Christians in the past who stood faithful - including a short re-telling of the story of the Ukranian pastor, Nikolai Panchuk, who was tortured in a Gulag by being confined within a tiny box for 10 day periods over the course of two years. (Watch Ritsema's sermon HERE.)
Sabbath PM
Ritsema returned after lunch with a message about the 'woke' signs of the times in Bible prophecy, as well as the 1990s DC NSA-tied futurist think tank (curiously calling themselves "Project 2025") who apparently made some uncannily accurate predictions about world events into 2025, as well as some alarming calls that could yet transpire. (Watch that one HERE.)
This was followed by a brief but rapid overview of the cyclical theory of history, including an introduction to the present crisis season of Neil Howe's Fourth Turning. Ritsema may have gobbled some super-pellets for lunch, as his delivery style resembled a GC-unauthorized rapid-fire assault rifle. He was careful to define the clear lines between social science and Bible prophecy. (Video for that one is HERE.)
Panel Discussion
The weekend ended with a panel discussion (Q&A from audience-written questions), as LHA was joined by 2 guests on the panel. You'll notice that even the leadership core of LHA can publicly dialogue from somewhat different points of view on difficult matters, such as the vaccine, country living or church organization. (Video of panel discussion is HERE.)
In our opinion, LHA is providing a much needed perspective on matters of liberty and conscience. The tide is turning in America, and LHA is being shown to be on the right side of history, even as various church entities find themselves on the wrong side.
