Pastor Dwight Nelson recently wrote a song for two female Pioneer Memorial Pastors: Sharon Terrell and Sabine Vatel. One is retiring and one is moving to Florida.
We must confess, the second-to-last stanza is a bit painful, even for sensitive men of the new millennia! (Apparently when WO afficionados aren't getting misty-eyed over social justice, they wax eloquent about women pastors.)
However, we wish these ladies well, with the same sincerity that we wish our University Churches (and their leaders) might remain faithful to Scripture. Let's do it together!
Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle (2 Thessalonians 2:15).
